Introduction

This Anti-bribery Policy establishes basic standards and a framework for the prevention and detection of bribery and corruption in Chailease Berjaya Credit Sdn Bhd (the Company) operations. It promotes compliance with the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission Act 2009, and other applicable anticorruption laws. The Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission Act 2009 and many other anti-corruption laws prohibit offering or providing benefits, directly or indirectly, to government officials or to the private sector, for the purpose of securing an undue advantage or improper benefit.

Policy Statement

In line with this commitment, the Company adopts a “zero-tolerance approach” towards any form of bribery and corruption in conducting its business. All members of the Board of Directors, staff and third parties must uphold the highest standard of integrity and accountability in discharging their duties and to ensure that all Company’s business activities are conducted in compliance with the applicable legal and regulatory requirements on anti-bribery and anti-corruption, both in letter and spirit.

The standards of the Company ABC framework and measures are guided by the T.R.U.S.T principles of the Malaysia Prime Minister’s Office – Guidelines on Adequate Procedures:

Reporting Channel

The Company has put in place the Whistleblowing Policy and Procedure to provide an avenue which serves as a confidential platform for all staff and third parties to disclose any acts of bribery and/or corruption in a confidential manner that protects the whistleblower from any risk or reprisals.
